What's in my bag? ~

Hey guys!
I figured I'd do something a bit different today and do the ever so popular 'what's in my bag' tag. It's not too interesting really but I figured some of you may enjoy reading this!

So this is my bag! I got it for my Birthday last year after spotting it on Ebay. I believe it's a copy of a designer bag but I'm not sure which designer. I can't find a link for it now though. It's a black suede shoulder bag with lots of leather straps and buckles hanging all over it, very me.

It seems quite small on the inside at first but it's like the Tardis, you can fit so much in! Luckily I'm not someone who carries around a bazillion things.

So this is what I carry on most days, bar the sunglasses, they only come out once in a blue moon.

For some reason I always seem to have a lot of lip products hanging around in my bag, I don't bother taking a huge make-up bag of products, I sometimes take eyeliner but not very often. I tend to wear make-up I think is quite long-lasting so I don't really have to reapply throughout the day. My lack of make-up in there could also have something to do with laziness. I do have a mirror though, so that counts for something!

I have a book in my bag constantly, I'm a huge bookworm and I travel on buses a lot so it's my form of entertainment, along with my phone of course. Currently I have dawn of the Dead in there although I haven't actually started it yet. Oops. I always have headphones too, I cannot live without my music, I'd probably go insane.

I have three sets of keys because I am constantly losing mine, I have one in my room, one downstairs and one in my bag, just because I am incapable of keeping them in the same place.

There's always loose change in the bottom of my bag because I just toss it in there and then get a huge surprise when I realize I have enough pennies to pay for a Starbucks.

I tend to keep snacks in my bag too, If I go out alone I sometimes forget to eat, I don't really like sitting anywhere and eating by myself and I also don't like carrying around food like pasties or sandwiches, so crisps and biscuits always make an appearance.

My passport is something you guys will never see the inside of, my picture will probably give you nightmares, with the long black hair and glare from hell it's enough to make a grown man cry. I do need to keep it on me though, I get ID'd everywhere, I mean, EVERYWHERE. I'm almost 21 and I got ID'd for a 15 film last week. *slow clap*

I don't wear my glasses that often, I always wore them for lectures but now I don't have any I don't really have a use for them. I9 do keep them there though, just in case. I really love the huge frames and purple colour.

Finally, my Vivienne Westwood purse. I bought this a few months ago in Leeds and I freaking love it! It's my baby. I really love the colour, how massively huge it is and how much it stores. A small purse just isn't for me. I never have change in here, apart from pound coins, because everything else is thrown into the bottom of the bag, I do have loads of store loyalty cards though, Boots, Superdrug, Waterstones, Costa, just to name a few.

That's all folks! Hope you enjoyed :)

These are a few of my favourite things: May!

Hey guys!

I know everyone is saying this, but where the hell did May go? Seriously? The fact that I turn 21 in just over a month is scaring me, but June is going to be amazing with lots of fun things happening! Let's not get too ahead of ourselves though, first I have to talk about the things I've been loving this month, this post is going to be picture heavy, because, let's be honest, there's been a few.

Last month I didn't do a post like this because I hadn't been trying anything new, but all of that has changed this month and I seem to have over compensated.

Gosh BB Cream

If you've been reading my blog for a while you probably know I've had troubles finding foundation that is pale enough for my skin and I think I've finally found a one that is perfect! The gosh BB cream claims to be an 'all-in-one' product that is a foundation, primer and moisturizer at the same time, I don't think it quite works like that, I still moisturize and prime before using it, but as a light coverage foundation I really enjoy it.

It seems to get rid of redness pretty well, it doesn't have much coverage at all but it is fairly buildable, my skin isn't too bad though so I really quite like it. Overall I think this is a good product for those who are pale or don't need much coverage, it's a good price but the product is a lot smaller than other foundations.

Rimmel Blush -Santa Rose

This blusher is one I bought ages ago and then misplaced somewhere in my drawer which saddened me greatly because I loved it, I found it again in the back of my drawer though and fell in love again. It's almost a terracotta colour with shimmer in it, the glitter isn't really visible on the skin though, which I like. It's the perfect colour, somewhere between a bronzer, contour and blush on my skin and it really just gives a lovely wash of colour without being too 'out there'.

Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water

I noticed this on a website somewhere and quite liked the sound of it, when I was wandering around boots I noticed that it was sold there and decided to pick up this mini size. Basically it's a spray that is meant to sooth, rid of irritation and set make-up,  it also says you can use it on things such as burns, redness, after hair removal and simply just to freshen up.

I'm not sure about it setting make-up but it does get rid of some redness on my face and it's amazing at waking me up and just feeling fresh. It's really cold on the face but in a good way and I just love it!

L'Oreal False lash telescopic Mascara

I bought this mascara for a bargain price of £4 at the beginning of the month and it honestly the best mascara I've tried in a long while. I'm not usually a fan of high-street mascara's for some reason but this one is amazing!
It's not massively volumizing but it lengthens like no other, it holds a curl pretty well and is overall a great product. I don't really have much to say apart from that it's freaking brilliant!

Benefit 'The Porefessional' primer

I've been wanting to try this for a while, but I didn't want to fork out the twenty-something pounds to buy it, just in case I didn't like it. In boots though I found a little box of three benefit samples and this was one of them.

I really like this product so far, it does reduce the size of pores, or it looks as though it does, I'm not sure if I'll purchase the full size though. It's a good primer, it feels very nice of the skin, it's silicone base and seems to even out skintone too, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag.

I'm going to keep testing it out and see if I should use my next pay to buy this, but I think I'll possibly stick with my Nivea or MUA ones for now.

Finally my phone case! It's a sloth, but it's King Kong. A SLOTH. KING SLOTH.

I am also in love with that nail Varnish which is Models Own - Luis Lemon, it's totally neon yellow and I haven't worn anything else since I bought it.

What have you guys been liking this month?

fotd, ootd & a mini adventure.

Hello guys!

A few days ago I was going to town to go shopping with a friend, also to get some lunch, mmm pizza hut. Once home I went out with my brother to fly his plane, he's all into remote control cars and planes, not the small kids ones, the proper 'big boy' ones worth a bazillion pounds. Usually I don't go but I figured I would be the nice sister and go trooping through muddy fields, on a mini adventure, which I secretly enjoy doing.

After losing my darker eyebrow pencil I decided to go more natural, like I used to, not sure which I prefer to be honest. I went pretty simple on the eyes, using the Urban Decay naked basics palette, the colours 'walk of shame' on the lid and then 'naked 2' in the crease, I then finished off with my Collection extreme eyeliner and L'Oreal telescopic mascara. I also rediscovered Rimmels 'Santa Rose' blusher, which is my all time favourite and then topped off the look with a light pink lip colour.

For the shopping outfit I went for some bright colours, I tend to stay in black and grey but I'm trying to change that for summer. So, my white cropped top is from Primark, the skirt was £10 from Primark, my Jacket was from ASOS and necklace from Topshop. Although it's hard to tell, the skirt is white and black with hints of lime and pink. I'm in love with it!

To go out with the plane I changed into some plain blue jeans, again from Primark.

These are just a couple of pictures I took when I was out, there are a lot more but these are some of my favourites. My camera ran out of charge as soon as we got there, so these were taken on my phone, not great, but not the worst. We ended up in a field just a few minutes away from our house, I probably have ruined my lovely converse because it was so muddy and wet in there, but they suit the banged up look right?

Boots & Superdrug Beauty Haul!

Hey guys!

I couldn't decide what to post today but I looked on my camera and noticed pictures I had taken for a haul post which I had forgotten about. So here it is! I didn't have a list of things I wanted, I kind of just went, and spent. So much for saving my wages to go on holiday.

First up I bought two nail varnishes, because I just can't resist myself. I have an obsession. First is sinful colours 'Tokyo pearl' and second is Barry  'Satsuma' which I believe is a new shade in the Gelly collection. I've worn it a few times and I love the colour, it's a nice bright orange toned Coral, so pretty!

A few posts ago I mentioned the Sleek lip4 palettes so this may be familiar to you. Its got four orange tones lip shades, two are matte finishes, one is a gloss and the other a satin. I love the matte shades and it's very summery.

This is probably the most exciting thing, I got to the tills and noticed this little Benefit set next to the tills. I think the price was £9.50 and you get three little mini products. I've wanted to try the porefessional for a while, but didn't want to buy a large one, so this was perfect. It also includes a badgirl lash mascara and Positint which I haven't even tried yet.

I'll test the porefessional primer out for a little while and then I'll probably do a review.

I also bought two other products which wouldn't photograph very well as individuals so they are seen in the above picture. First up is a dark brown eyeliner from Rimmel, it's actually a lot darker than I thought, it looked okay in the shop for my brows but since then I've changed my mind.

Finally is the Loreal false lash telescopic mascara which I actually got at the 'making faces' stall in Eldon square for £4. It is honestly the best mascara I've used in a long time and I'll be repurchasing. It lengthens and give volume really well and lasts all day.

That's all folks!

Rocking the Ombre lips!

Hey guys!

I know ombre lips was a thing that happened a while ago and I didn't jump on the bandwagon, but it's better late than never right? I think I'm found one of my favourite lip combos for this season, or maybe just this week. There are two products I've been loving recently, this first is the Topshop lipstick in ' Brighton Rock' and the Illamasqua lipgloss in the colour 'Fierce', together they look amazing!

'Brighton Rock' is a bright bubble-gum pink, such an amazing spring summer shade and one I've been wearing constantly since I bought it. 'Fierce' is a bright lilac colour and together they make a really cute combination.

This isn't a totally in-your-face kind of ombre, it's not totally noticeable which really just makes it work, it still stands out though. I used 'Brighton Rock' all over the lips and then the gloss just in the centre, it kind of gives another dimension to the lips!

I hope this post was short and sweet! Have you guys tried ombre lips? I really love them!

A General/ Birthday Beauty Wishlist!

Hey guys!

Recently I have found a few Make-up/ beauty items that I would rather like, it's my birthday soon and so a few are things on my list, others are ones I want to buy quite soon! Thank god for payday! It's not a huge list but let's be honest, I have enough beauty items to be going on with really!

1. Sleek Make-up Lip4 Palette in Mardi Gras
2. Clarins Éclat face and blush palette
3. Illamasqua lipstick in Underworld
4. Bioderma Creatine H2O
5. Ralph Lauren Perfume number 4

I actually have the illamasqua lippie and Ralph Lauren perfume on my birthday list and the Clarins palette will be in my collection soon enough. My best friends mum got family and friends double discount in Fenwick last week so I got £10 off it! I just need to meet up with her, collect it and give her the money. I'm so excited!

Bioderma is something everyone and their dog raves about and I'm eager to see what the hype is about, pity about the price though, I really don't want to spend so much on a skincare product when I know my simple make-up remover probably does the same thing.

The Sleek Palette has amazing colours, all of them look lovely and bright and so I'm going to hunt it down in Superdrug and get my hands on it hopefully!

What are you guys lusting after?

Sleek LipCubed Palettes!

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago I was stalking Facebook, as I do pretty much everyday, and I noticed Sleek Make-up advertising some new Lip Palettes and the colours looked right up my street! And so I went into Superdrug on a mission to find them but they didn't have the ones I wanted, I travelled over to the MetroCentre and I got my hands on two of the ones I had my eye on!

The palettes are made up of four different lip colours and the packaging describes them as "a colour-rich lipstick quad with 3 different formulations to create a variety of looks".  It is a "palette of four highly pigmented lipsticks with Matte, Gloss and satin finishes".

The first one I picked up was the 'showgirl' palette with different purple and pink lip colours, I've used it a few times since buying it and holy moly, it is amazing. I'm very into bright pinks and purples this season, along with bright oranges, and this just ticks all of the boxes.

My favourite colours are 'Jewel' and 'Vegas', which are both fairly bright pink colours, I think they're both matte shades too. It's also tried the gloss colour, which is the darkest in the palette, and it has surprisingly good colour payoff and lasting power, I'm very impressed.

Going back to my love of orange, the next Palette I purchased was 'Siren', which was the one I wanted so desperately when the products were announced. It is again made up of Matte, Satin and Gloss shades but this time they're all orange based colours and I am head over heels in love. This picture is a much more accurate representation of what they look like in real life, there's a bright orange, a peach, a coral pink and an orange based red and they're all very wearable shades for the summer months.

I haven't used this Palette yet but the bright orange colour looks amazing and I think I'll use it a lot. I love the fact they all come with a handy lipstick brush and huge mirror. They're fairly small in size and light weight which makes them perfect for travelling. I'm travelling quite a lot this summer and I just know that these are going to feature.

I'm going back to Superdrug tomorrow to see what other variations they have in stock, I can see where all of my Payday money is going!

What do you guys think of these? Are you going to have a mooch?

I highly recommend them, great colours, great lasting power, great price!

Face Skincare Saviors!

Hey guys!

Something I haven't really talked about on here is skincare and the products I use on my face to try and keep it healthy. I'm currently trying out a couple of new products but I haven't included them here because these are my 'holy grail' products that have saved my face from being dry, dehydrated and dull.

I'll be the first person to admit that I don't care about skincare as much as I should, I can't be bothered to spend time every morning and night lathering myself in products, I'm too lazy for all that, I like to have a 'quick fix' approach to skincare so I can spend longer in bed. Saying that, I have a few good products to tell you about, ones that I use pretty much daily.

First up is my moisturiser, this is the Aveeno positively luminous and this has lasted for ages, probably over a year. I stopped using this for a few months in favour of something else but then realised how amazing this was and seen instant differences when I picked it back up again.

I always used to use this during the day, before I put on my make-up, but it's pretty thick and it doesn't sink in really quickly, so I now use it at night. It evens out the skin tone, gives you moisture and as the name suggests, makes my skin look more lively and awake.

It's an all-round great product, although for a day-cream I prefer something lighter, this has really helped my skin look less dull though and my skin always feels great on a morning.

For a morning moisturiser I use the Nivea Express Hydration primer, which is a two-in-one product, it claims to moisturise and prime the skin ready for foundation. I don't think it works great as a primer, I still use a silicone based primer after this as a base but as a moisturiser I think this works great. There are two different versions of this product, one for dry/normal skin, which is the one I use, and one for oily/combination skin.
I think this was pretty inexpensive and it works really well, although I want to try a new product so I'm not sure if I'll repurchase when it runs out, which will be soon. I think it was around £6 and I really wish it was in different packaging, it looks nice but glass jars just aren't very handy.

I'm really not sure if this product is meant to work on the face, but boy, it's done wonders the last few months. For some reason I keep getting rashes on the side of my face, I'm not sure how, it's not face or make-up products and it always comes up after I've been at work, so who knows? After it's gone down though I'm left with really dry patches on my face, so I use a little of this where needed and after a little while my skin is back to normal. I originally bought this for dry hands and elbows, but I haven't really used it for that. It's part of my face routine now, if they have products designed for the face I'll be buying those.

Finally I have two simple products, after BeautyqueenUK talked about simple and raved about a few of their products I had to give a few a go. I've looked the eye make-up remover for years, so I already knew about this, I repurchase time after time, I've gone through about 20. I have really sensitive eyes and if I have to scrub at all to get my make-up off my eyes go all red and sore, but this works really well, it removes mascara with no problems and is pretty cheap too!

Last, but not least, is the simple kind to skin toner, I've never really seen the need for toners, and to be honest I'm still not exactly sure what they do, but this feels so refreshing on the skin, it's great when you need a little skin pick-me-up, it just feels so cooling and nice, I think it'll be great in really warm weather to cool the face down. I use it after I take off my make-up and before moisturiser on a morning, it takes off any excess dirt or product from the face, leaving it feeling clean and refreshed.

Let me know what you think of these products! Leave me a comment, I love to read and reply to them!

Adventures in being Stupidly Pale: The perfect Foundation?

Hey Hi Hello!

So a while ago I made a post about how difficult finding face products is for people like me, people who have a very fair complexion, much lighter than NC15 by MAC. After a while of hunting around Boots and Superdrug for a foundation that looked pale I came across the brand 'Gosh'.

Gosh is a brand I've had foundation from before although it was back when I was in sixth form, a good three years ago. I contemplated buying their 'extreme' foundation because I liked it in the past but I noticed their new BB cream, checked the tester and it looked super pale, the colour is 'sand'.

So after trying out this new Gosh BB cream for a while I figured I should do a review on it. It wasn't very expensive, I think around the £10 mark, so I figured it was worth a shot. It claims to be a three-in-one product, like most BB creams it aims to be a primer, moisturizer and foundation all in one, along with SPF15 it seemed like a perfect product.

After testing it out I realised that I would still have to use a moisturizer before using this product, otherwise it clung slightly to dry patches on my face. I don't think it's a three-in-one product, it's a light coverage foundation, nothing more, nothing less, it is however a good product nonetheless.

I've been using this for around 2 weeks now, it's a light coverage but it is buildable, although I like a light coverage anyway. It blends well with your fingers, I don't use a brush with this because it comes across much easier to use that way, it's much smoother and quicker to use the fingers, I find any way.

It's not as thick as most BB creams, but not as thin as a tinted moisturizer, it's somewhere in-between the two. It feels fairly greasy, so I'm not sure how it would work on oily skin, but once powders it looks great and sets really well. It's also a perfect match for my skin, which is a massive bonus! No more wasting money on foundations that make me look orange.

Overall it's an amazing product with a great price tag to suit. It's light-medium coverage with a slightly dewy finish and stays on for pretty much the entire day.

I really love this product and anyone with pale skin should really go to Superdrug and test it out. It comes in a few shades, so it's suitable for a variety of skin-tones. I'm not sure how it would work on oily skin, but I can't really comment because that's not a problem I have so it's worth a check, maybe read some other reviews.

Will you be trying this or have you already? What are your thoughts?

Lemon Sherbet lip balm!

Hey guys!

I have a product review for you all today!

So this I the lemon sherbet lip balm by the bathhouse, unfortunately I can't find it online but I found it in Fenwick. Yes, it is as amazing as it sounds. It smells like Lemon sherbet and it even tastes like it too! Oh my word, I am in love with this product.

As a bonus the packaging is so cute, I think these would make wonderful gifts, little stocking stuffers at Christmas or something, I believe that it was £5. There was a ton of different versions, earl grey and mojito are the others I can remember, although there was a good few!

The balm is just clear, no colour at all on the lips, which I prefer in a balm to be honest, I've tried the tinted balm thing but I don't really like it much. The product doesn't feel greasy at all and it's fairly moisturising, it also stays on the lips for quite a while.

It's a pretty bog standard balm to be honest but just for the fact it smells and tastes amazing I love it so much, I'm going to buy more, for myself and for others. I really love lip balms right now because my lips get so dry, I also wear them over lipstick to give a little shine.

Overall it's a good balm, it gets rid of dry lips fairly well, it's lemon sherbet flavoured which is always a good thing, and it's really small and cute for your handbag.

What are your thoughts about this? Have you tried anything from the company?

Sidenote: Do you like the way I took these pictures? I tried to experiment :P

PS: I really fancy doing some sort of swap with someone, either from the UK or elsewhere in the world, I've wanted to do it for a while so if you're interested just send me an email at linerlipsticklemonade@gmail.com

A week in Review: No1.

Hey hi hello!

Guys, I've finished all of my essays, which is amazing yet sad at the same time because I am officially no longer in education, university is over! Queue the panic attacks about becoming an adult and having to find a job. But lets not go off on a tangent here, I have a new segment to the blog! Sunday is now the 'Week in Review' blog post, where instagram photo's will aid me in telling you guys about what I'm up to! (Pssst if you want to follow my instagram my username is: anotheryouthfuldream).

This week has been made up of sun, walks, essays, work and spending hours in costa. So nothing new there then. It's actually been a really good week, lots of relaxing times in the sun, little adventures, a little bit of shopping, although there has been some drama too, it wouldn't be my family if there wasn't some drama.

Top left: For the first time ever I have colour in my wardrobe, I felt it needed to be documented. I pretty much live in blacks and greys, but look! Yellow, green, pink, oh my!

Top right: My finished dissertations ready to be handed in. Scary! If you're wondering what it was about it was "how gender and age influence differences in the language of text messages", if you're for any reason interested I can send you a copy for a read. Although I don't see why anyone would want to read it. I'm super proud of myself.

Bottom left: Sun means sunglasses and bright green shirts. It's finally spring in Newcastle guys!

Bottom Right: My name is Amy and I'm a costa addict. If you've got a costa near you go try a strawberry cream frappe and it will change your life forever. Also they have a new summer drinks menu and finding that out was the highlight of my week.

Top left: The path to the dene. I've mentioned before it's one of my favourite places ever, I love just walking through it and going on a wander. So as soon as I seen the sun I used the opportunity to go for a walk.

Top Right: I love gardening! I really do, I think it's because of my granddad. I am now in charge of our garden so I spent the morning putting in plants.

Bottom left: The dene, again. I just can't stop taking pictures of it.

Bottom right: My spring flower nails and a cute bus pass holder. Floral nails is my 'thing' at the minute, my go-to design. I really liked these ones!

Left: Dinner with the coolest girl in the world! My sister! Wearing her shades in doors, like she's all that. Mmmh, Frankie and Bennies, my favourite food place in the world. Can I go eat a calzone pizza from there now please?

Right: My neighbours can enjoys sitting in their greenhouse, in with all of the plants. It amuses me greatly and she's just so cute when she's lying there!

I hope you like this new 'segment', if you have any requests for posts just leave them below. I'm going to try to post every day this week on this blog, and at least three times this week on my other blog because I feel I have been neglecting this little place of the internet.

Have a great bank holiday, if you're off work, I am jealous.

Much love, Amy x

A spring day OOTD!

Hey guys!
It would seem that Spring has finally arrived in Newcastle, it took it's time but there's been three sunny days in a row. No coat kinda sunny. Trust me, you're just as surprised as I am. Yesterday I went on another adventure to the Dene, one of my favourite places in the world, this time I went with a friend and had loads of fun just messing around and taking pictures. Also my dissertation is finally handed in, I have one essay left to do and then you'll be seeing a lot more of me!

Anyhoo, let's not get too side-tracked. This is the outfit I wore yesterday for running a few errands and then going on our little adventure.

I apologise for the picture not being very large, not giving a full view of what I was wearing. But I'm very into wearing plain, bright coloured t-shirts with a patterned or plain black bottom, with statement necklaces. I think I've found my summer go-to outfit style. The shirt is from Primark, skirt from Urban Outfitters, Converse from office.

I haven't worn bracelets for ages but I'm hoping to get back into wearing them. Smile kid is the name of one of my favourite albums but also a motto I live by, short and sweet, my best friend has a matching bracelet. I bought it from Etsy.

Finally a random picture from the day. How are you guys spending these precious days of sunny weather?
